Location Data: Precise and/or approximate geographic location derived from your device's GPS and network signals (used for distance calculation and proximity matching).

Usage & Communication Data: In-app messages, matches, swipe history, interaction timestamps, and safety reports.

Technical & Device Data: IP address, device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and crash diagnostic logs.

Transaction Data: Records of purchases, subscription tier history, and virtual token transactions (payment card numbers are processed directly by Apple, Google, or our payment gateway and are not stored on our servers).

 

2. How and Why We Use Your Data

We process your personal information based on the following legal grounds:

To Provide the Service (Contractual Necessity): Creating your account, displaying profiles, matching you with other users based on distance and preferences, and facilitating direct messaging.

With Your Explicit Consent: Processing special category information or utilizing precise real-time geolocation. You can withdraw location permissions at any time via your device settings.

With Other Users: Public profile information (photos, name, age, distance, bio) is visible to other members using the Service. Private messages are visible only to the conversation participants.

Service Providers & Data Processors: We share data with trusted third-party vendors for cloud hosting, database storage, push notifications, analytics, and customer support under strict data processing agreements.

No Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third-party advertisers or data brokers.

Legal & Law Enforcement Disclosures: We may disclose records if required by a court order, subpoena, or applicable law to protect member safety or investigate unlawful conduct.

 

4. Data Retention and Erasure Schedules

Active Accounts: We retain your profile data as long as your account remains active.

Account Deletion: When you delete your account via the in-app settings, your public profile, photos, and messages are permanently erased or anonymised within 30 days.

Safety & Compliance Archive: Certain technical identifiers (such as device hashes and email addresses associated with banned accounts), transaction records, and moderation logs may be retained for up to 24 months to prevent bad actors from returning and to fulfill financial recordkeeping duties.

Inactive Accounts: Profiles inactive for more than 12 consecutive months are subject to automated archiving or deletion.

 

5. Your Rights Under UK / EU GDPR

Depending on your location, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
